The Firm has deep and extensive experience representing owners and developers, lenders and institutional investors, such as private equity and opportunity funds, in connection with all stages of real property development.

We have represented clients in a wide range of construction and development projects including ground up, major renovations and tenant build outs in all major asset classes. Specifically, we have handled the following on behalf of our clients: the acquisition of real property and development rights, structuring complex joint venture and financing arrangements, and negotiating development, construction, management and related agreements with trade professionals.

Many of the developments we handle – particularly those for New York City projects – involve creating and/or advising clients on condominium regimes, vertical subdivisions, reciprocal easement agreements, joint parking facilities and similar situations in which one property’s development is dependent upon another party’s property.  In such cases, our real estate transactional attorneys team up with our land use practice to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients in developments.

Our attorneys handle complex construction and development matters not only in New York City, but throughout the U.S. and in Latin America.

Additionally, our finance attorneys have vast experience representing lenders on significant construction loans.
