The Real Estate Platform Investments Group advises clients on the formation and operation of real estate operating companies and management platforms as well as the formation and operation of investment funds and other vehicles sponsored, raised and/or managed by such platforms.
The partners in our group are regularly involved in transactions involving the creation of joint venture, co-investment, shareholder and other arrangements in connection with the formation of new platforms and the continued operation or restructuring of existing platforms. Our experience includes structuring strategic or so-called “seed” investments, transactions involving the acquisition of minority or controlling positions in platforms, buy-out transactions, recapitalizations, and restructurings. Our group also advises clients on the formation and operation of real estate investment funds, so-called “club-deals,” programmatic joint ventures, production agreements, sponsor capital funds, GP funds, equity syndications, and other joint venture and capital markets arrangements utilized to invest in real estate.
