Volodymyr (“Vlod”) Basok represents real estate investors, private and institutional lenders and developers in commercial real estate transactions, concentrating on commercial real estate financing. He leverages prior in-house experience with an international commercial bank and a major national insurance company to understand client and stakeholder perspectives.
His experience spans financing major construction and renovation projects, mezzanine lending, complex syndicated transactions, affordable housing projects, secured and unsecured credit facilities, preferred equity, and property acquisitions.
Mr. Basok handles complex title issues, multi-layered co-lender arrangements, ground and space leases, construction contracts, purchase and sale agreements, and franchise agreements. He regularly prepares legal opinions including non-consolidation opinions, true lease opinions, and state law enforceability opinions.
