About
Joe Galvano joined the Firm in 2003 and is a member of our Real Estate Practice Group and our Joint Venture practice.
Joe focuses his practice on all of the principal areas of commercial real estate law, including, joint ventures, acquisitions, sales, borrower-side financings, and restructurings relating to all types of commercial real estate transactions and on a national basis.
Joe is often tasked with handling complex real estate transactions and takes great pride in being a lawyer that is responsive to his clients and helps them “get the deal done”.
Joe predominantly represents large institutions, such as investment management firms, and local and national developers/operators, in complicated joint venture transactions and, in most cases, the underlying real estate transactions.
When Joe is not working on complex joint venture arrangements, he enjoys spending time with his family (including his 2 dogs) and doing anything car, watch, or cigar-related.
Joe is the chair of the Firm’s opinion committee. He is admitted to practice in New York.
Notable Transaction Expertise:
- The acquisition, financing, and joint venture structuring of a 320,000-square-foot industrial warehouse located in Cheshire, Connecticut.
- Structured a programmatic joint venture arrangement for the acquisition and development of life science-related assets in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Structured a programmatic joint venture arrangement for the acquisition and development of manufactured housing communities, recreational vehicle resorts, and campgrounds throughout the United States.
- The financing and joint venture structuring of multiple data center projects for a New York-based national data center developer.
- The disposition of a five-property Long Island industrial portfolio for approximately $100 million.
- The acquisition, financing, and joint venture structuring of a ground lessee interest in real property located at 680 Madison Avenue, New York, New York, and the improvements thereon commonly known as the Carlton House from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, a New York trust, and Carlton House, Inc., a New York corporation.
