About

Jonathan Rothstein joined the firm in 2014 and is a partner in the Real Estate and Joint Ventures/Corporate Real Estate Practice. 

Mr. Rothstein’s practice focuses on corporate real estate transactions, where he regularly represents private equity funds, family offices, institutional investors, sponsors, developers, managers, and operators in connection with sophisticated joint venture arrangements (including programmatic ventures). He also has substantial expertise representing clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, recapitalizations and restructurings relating to all classes of commercial real estate.

Mr. Rothstein received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

  • Formation of a programmatic joint venture to acquire single-family rental properties across the United States.
  • Assemblage, recap, and joint venture structuring of 23 industrial assets (including both fee and ground lease interests) across multiple U.S. States, valued at over $500 million.
  • Assemblage, financing, and eventual sale of a portfolio of manufactured housing sites across multiple U.S. States, valued at over $2 billion.
  • The acquisition, financing, and joint venture structuring, including fee and ground lease interests, of an office portfolio in downtown Tampa, Florida.
  • Formation of a programmatic joint venture to acquire industrial properties across the United States, with initial capital commitments of over $450 million.
  • Acquisition, refinancing, and multi-tiered joint venture structuring of a senior living facility in Florida.
  • Formation of programmatic joint ventures for the acquisition and operation of manufactured housing communities across the United States.
  • The acquisition, financing, and joint venture structuring of a portfolio of office buildings in Reston, Virginia.
  • Formation of a programmatic joint venture for the development of workforce housing projects in New York City.
  • Formation of programmatic ventures to acquire industrial service facilities across multiple U.S. States, with initial capital commitments of over $550 million.
  • Acquisition, loan assumption, and joint venture structuring of a portfolio of office buildings in South Eastern U.S., valued at over $260 million.
  • Preferred equity investment in a multifamily development project near Tampa, Florida.
